Mumbai, May 3 -- Severe traffic congestion continued for the second consecutive day on the Mumbai-Goa Highway today, with long queues of vehicles reported across key stretches, particularly in the Mangaon and Indapur areas.
The surge in traffic, driven by the extended holiday period, has caused significant inconvenience to travellers.
The situation intensified following the Maharashtra Day on May 1, combined with the subsequent weekend holidays, prompting a large number of tourists and travellers to head from Mumbai towards the Konkan region. This influx led to a heavy build-up of vehicles, slowing movement drastically along the highway.
