Mumbai, March 11 -- In order to speed up people-oriented works of the Revenue administration in Maharashtra, the government has taken a decision to give selection category to 125 Deputy District Collectors in the state and 80 of these officers have been cleared to become Additional Collectors.
An official press statement issued on Tuesday stated that after working for 10 years as Deputy Collector, they will be regularised in service as Deputy Collector (Selection Grade), thereby increasing their pay structure.
As a result, some of these senior Sub-District Officers will get the opportunity to become Additional Collectors.
