Nagpur, Feb. 22 -- The Maharashtra Education Department has sought a detailed report after a four-year-old child was allegedly locked inside a classroom overnight in Khaparkheda on the outskirts of Maharashtra's Nagpur.
Minister of State for School Education Pankaj Bhoyar today directed the Deputy Director of Education (Nagpur division) to conduct a thorough inquiry into the incident and submit a report at the earliest.
According to preliminary information, the child reportedly wandered into a classroom while playing near the school premises and was inadvertently locked inside when staff closed the building for the day without conducting a final inspection.
