Nashik, Feb. 18 -- A 45-year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in Niwane village of the district due to debt and lack of value for his farm produce.
The incident came to light on Saturday.
According to reports, Anil Ravan Aher committed suicide because he could not repay the loan of Rs 5.90 lakh due to repeated crops failure owing to damage caused by natural disasters in the last few years and for not getting right market price for onion and other crops.
Talathi Avinash Pawar, Village Revenue officer Sharad Ahire visited the spot and conducted a panchnama.
Anil Aher is survived by his wife Sangeeta Aher, a son, two daughters and an elderly mother.
