Mumbai, May 9 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (Shinde) chief, Eknath Shinde, paid tributes to Maharana Pratap and Gopal Krishna Gokhale on the occasion of their birth anniversaries today.
In separate posts shared on social media platform X, homage was paid to Maharana Pratap and his qualities of "courage", "patriotism" and commitment to "Swaraj" were highlighted.
Shortly afterwards, floral tributes were also offered to Gopal Krishna Gokhale, who was remembered as a moderate leader, educationist and mentor to Mahatma Gandhi.
The contribution made by Gokhale towards constitutional reform, social awareness and the Indian freedom movement was also recalled in the message shared by the Deputy Chief Minister.
