Dharashiv, Sept. 24 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today visited the flood-affected Shinde and Karle settlements of Karanja village in Paranda taluka to assess the damage caused by heavy rains. He interacted with villagers and farmers to understand their difficulties and assured them of immediate and long-term assistance.

The Deputy CM inspected the home of Changdev Shinde, which was severely damaged in the floods. When residents appealed for rehabilitation, Shinde assured them that the government would take steps to help the affected families. He promised that temporary aid would be extended immediately and that official inspections (panchnamas) would be conducted to facilitate compensation.
