Mumbai, April 24 -- In a bizarre incident, a young couple was caught allegedly engaging in intimate act inside an air-conditioned (AC) bus operated by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT).
While civic authorities in neighbouring Navi Mumbai city has issued a show-cause notice to the bus conductor for his alleged failure to notice or take any action against the couple during the journey, an official said here on Thursday.
Local Kamothe police station has registered an offence of obscene act in a public place against the couple under Section 296 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Couple were arrested and later released on bail.
