Nagpur, Dec. 8 -- Maharashtra Transport minister Pratap Sarnaik today issued a stern warning to bike-taxi operators across the state, stating any violation of the guidelines will result in strict criminal action including the filing of First Information Reports (FIRs).

At the opening of the winter legislative session here, the minister said that authorities have received multiple complaints already and violations will no longer be tolerated.

Sarnaik emphasised that FIRs will not just target drivers but both operators and owners of unauthorised bike-taxis will also be held liable under law.
