Nagpur, Nov. 22 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Medical Department to improve healthcare in Nagpur, following his guidance, the government has ordered the establishment of a modern 615-bed hospital and the launch of new postgraduate and super-speciality medical courses, a press release issued by CMO said today.
The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital and Research Centre, affiliated with Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital in Nahpur, will be upgraded to set up this comprehensive facility.
The Medical Education and Drugs Department has recently issued the relevant government order.
