Mumbai, Aug. 7 -- The Maharashtra state government has come up with a decision in view of the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival to deposit the July installment of 1,500 under the "Chief Minister Ladki Bahin Yojana" into the bank accounts of eligible sisters before August 9, 2025. A net amount of 746 crore has been allocated for this purpose. Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dr Neelam Gorhe, said this initiative is not just about financial assistance, but it represents a powerful step towards women's empowerment, rooted in human values and social equity.
