Mumbai, June 18 -- The Maharashtra government informed the Bombay High Court today that it had acted on the court directive and removed portions of seven structures near the Mumbai International Airport that flouted height norms.
The government reply stated that the Mumbai Suburban Collector's office will coordinate with the BMC and Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for "any action as may be required to be carried out in the future."
Earlier, the court had come down on the state and remarked that the authorities cannot sit tight over the height norms violations by structures in the vicinity of Mumbai Airport and endanger the lives of passengers.
