Mumbai, April 9 -- Maharashtra Cyber Cell has busted a fake currency racket operating through Instagram, exposing how social media platforms are being misused to lure people with promises of doubling or tripling their money.
Investigations revealed that multiple Instagram accounts were promoting counterfeit currency deals, promising quick profits and attracting users through reels and posts, official said here today.
Cyber Police have taken serious cognizance of this issue and have begun taking action against those creating such reels.
