Mumbai, Feb. 22 -- Maharashtra is set to witness a significant political moment as Sunetra Pawar, the state's first woman Deputy Chief Minister, prepares to enter the Maharashtra assembly for its proceedings, which is starting on Monday. Her appearance in the House will mark a historic occasion in the state's political history.

At present, Sunetra Pawar is neither a member of the Legislative Assembly nor of the Legislative Council. She was elected leader of the NCP legislature party and took oath as Deputy Chief Minister on January 31, administered by Governor Acharya Devvrat.
