Nagpur, Sept. 6 -- Maharashtra on Saturday witnessed grand Ganesh Visarjan processions as devotees across the state bid an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha, marking the conclusion of the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya" (Come back soon next year, Lord Ganesha) echoed through streets as thousands of devotees joined colourful processions, dancing to the beats of traditional drums and music.

Besides Nagpur, the immersion procession has began in other parts of Maharashtra, namely in India's financialcapital Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
