Pune, Feb. 9 -- Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, on Sunday underscored the need for more young leaders in Indian politics during his address at the 14th Indian Student Parliament here.
Addressing a gathering of young delegates from across the country at the third session of Student Parliament, he highlighted the importance of having educated and ethical candidates in politics for a better future.
He reminded the audience that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated the country needs one lakh young representatives in the legislature.
The Minister stressed that if educated and morally upright candidates do not enter politics, the nation risks electing individuals with negative tendencies.
