Satara, Jan. 7 -- Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Shambhuraj Desai today refuted allegations made by the opposition regarding the unopposed victory of Mahayuti corporators in the municipal elections across the state, arguing that corporators of other parties have also been elected unopposed.

Talking to reporters in Karad town of the district this afternoon, he explained that BJP is on first place and Shiv Sena is behind on second place.

However, the fact that Shiv Sena candidates were elected unopposed is an accusation. This is a double standard, and those whose party the public has no trust in, and who are seeing their own defeat, are distracting the public's attention by making such allegations, he claimed.
