Pune, May 5 -- Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday discussed the issue of land acquisition for the proposed international airport at Purandar with agitating farmers from seven villages for about two hours at the district collector's office here and said this project, like the MIHAN project in Nagpur, will change the picture of western Maharashtra forever.

Instead of refusing to give land for Purandar airport, he appealed farmers to present their demands to the government within seven days along with the compensation they expect.

This airport will boost development of western Maharashtra and provide employment to the youth of the area, he informed.
