Mumbai, Feb. 17 -- Police registered an FIR against unknown persons after some drug was found in a room of a girls hostel at the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), a premier social sciences institute in India located in the Trombay area of the Mumbai suburb, an official said here on Monday.

The FIR was filed by a hostel official after drugs were found in one of the rooms of the girls' hostel on the campus. The institute administration has expelled one of the two occupants of the hostel room where the drugs were found.

According to the FIR, the hostel warden, along with others, carried out a search of the said hostel room following a complaint by one of the two occupants of the room.
