Pune, May 13 -- Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar on Tuesday welcomed the civic authority's recent action of demolition of many buildings which were causing obstruction in widening of roads. In a letter addressed to Pune Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Bhosale, he informed him that residents of the Karve Road area and thousands of students studying at Karve Women's Education Institute have also welcomed the municipal action of demolition of buildings which were creating obstruction traffic for a long time. Khardekar further said that despite demolition of these buildings, the actual widening work is still stalled.
