Chennai, Sept. 26 -- The Madras High Court today directed Sony Music Entertainment to furnish details of the revenue generated on a day-to-day basis by broadcasting and telecasting songs composed by music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, in the case pertaining to protection of creative autonomy and copyright for his works.

Justice N Senthilkumar gave the interim direction on a petition filed by Ilaiyaraaja, seeking to declare that Sony had no rights, title or interest in his works and also to restrain the firm from telecast/broadcast of his works.

The judge made it clear that full details of revenue generation by the company was necessary to decide the matter and ordered production of day-to-day earnings by telecasting/broadcasting songs of the maest...
