Kolkata, Feb. 15 -- Thousands of unemployed youths aged between 21 and 40 years stood in long queues across West Bengal to fill out the forms for getting themselves enrolled for the Yuba Sathi scheme, under which they are entitled to receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1500.

The scheme was announced in the vote on accounts tabled by the Minister of State for Finance Chandrima Bhattacharya, in the state Legislative Assembly last week. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee later gave details of the scheme.
