Lucknow, April 18 -- The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has revised its earlier directive ordering the registration of an FIR against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in a case related to alleged dual citizenship.

In a fresh order uploaded on Saturday, the court clarified that its earlier decision-issued on Friday (April 17)-was passed without issuing notice to Gandhi.

During that hearing, the court had asked lawyers representing the petitioner as well as the central and state governments whether notice to Gandhi was necessary.

All parties reportedly said it was not required, following which the court ordered that an FIR be registered and the matter be handed over to the CBI.
