Chandigarh, July 29 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today attended a felicitation ceremony in Mahima Singh Wala village, Ludhiana, to celebrate the revival of traditional bullock cart races.
Addressing the gathering, CM Mann emphasised the state government's commitment to preserving Punjab's cultural heritage, stating that the iconic Kila Raipur games, held since 1933, are a vital part of Punjab's legacy.
"Who are we to stop these traditions?," he remarked.
Mann highlighted his government's efforts to protect heritage and acquire private institutions, contrasting this with previous administrations that sold off public institutions by showing them as loss-making.
