Lucknow, Feb. 2 -- Taking a major step towards the construction of the Lucknow Metro East-West Corridor (Line-2), the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) approved its first tender on Monday.
The Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for Line-2 has been awarded to Ayesa Ingenieria y Arquitectura - Ayesa India Private Limited JV. The company had submitted the lowest bid of Rs 15.90 crore during the tender process.
According to UPMRC officials, this contract falls under the Lucknow Metro Phase-1B project. Technical bids were opened in October 2025, which included Ayesa and Systra-JV. After the financial bids were opened on January 21, Ayesa was declared the L-1 bidder.
