Lucknow, Jan. 14 -- The special MP-MLA court in Lucknow on Wednesday concluded its hearing in a criminal case involving the demand for filing an FIR against the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over a row about his citizenship.
After hearing all arguments, the court of Special Judge and Third Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM), Alok Verma, reserved its verdict and set January 28, 2026, as the date for the pronouncement of the judegement.
Petitioner S. Vignesh Shishir alleged that Rahul Gandhi is a British citizen and should have his Indian citizenship revoked.
