Srinagar, March 17 -- General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Indian Army Northern Command, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Tuesday visited units and formations deployed in the hinterland of the Kashmir Valley to review the prevailing security situation, Indian Army said.
During the visit, the Army Commander assessed the counter-terrorism grid and operational preparedness of troops operating in the region. Commanders on the ground briefed him on the current operational dynamics, intelligence integration, and coordination among various security agencies.
He was also briefed at the Joint Control Centre in Budgam on the ongoing coordinated efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Valley.
