New Delhi, March 16 -- The shortage and soaring prices of LPG cylinders in Delhi have started affecting daily life, especially for the working class and small street vendors.

With cylinder prices reportedly rising sharply in the black market, many labourers have begun shifting to traditional fuels such as wood and cow dung cakes for cooking.

However, the sudden increase in demand has also pushed up the price of cow dung cakes.

Delhi has around 13 officially established dairy farm clusters where a large number of cows and buffaloes are reared, leading to significant production of cow dung cakes that are commonly used as fuel, particularly during winters.
