Chennai, Nov. 17 -- The Low Pressure Area over the Bay of Bengal persisted which wasexpected to intensify Northeast monsoon rainfall activity in Tamil Nadu for the next few days,even as Met office said yet another LP Area is likely to form over the Bay on November 22forecasting more rains.
In an update this afternoon, Met office said yesterday's Low Pressure Area over SouthwestBay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lankacoast today.
The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea levelpersists.
It is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards during next 24 hours.
