Low Pressure Area over Bay becomes Well Marked, to turn Depression, intensify further, TN to get very heavy rains

Chennai, Nov. 26 -- The Well Marked Low Pressure area over the Bay will concentrate intoa Depression and intensify further, promising heavy rains in North, Coastal, Interior and Cauverydelta districts of Tamil Nadu for the next 4-5 days.

Met office sources said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and at a few placesover South Coastal Tamil Nadu and at isolated places over rest of Tamil Nadu.

Met office today said yesterday's Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoiningareas of South Sri Lanka and Equatorial Indian Ocean became a Well Marked Low Pressure Areaover Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka and Equatorial IndianOcean and persisted over the same region.
