Chennai, Feb. 25 -- The Low Pressure Area over the Bay of Bengal has become less marked marked on Wedesday morning, even as Met office has forecast light to moderate rains in South Tamil Nadu and Western Ghat districts for the next 2-3 days.

In a update, Met office said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry and Karaikal area.

It said yesterday's Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has become less marked at 0530 hrs today. However, the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level persisted over the same region.
