Thrissur, Jan. 11 -- Following strong protest against exclusion of the Thamara (Lotus) flower from the list of venue names for the Kerala School Kalolsavam, scheduled from January 14 in Thrissur, the organising committee on Saturday decided to name one of the venues after the Lotus (Thamara).

State Education Minister V Sivan Kutty said "We don't want any unpleasant things during the Kalolsavam which will be attended by more than 14,000 students. There should not be any ill feelings in the young minds," he said.
