Puducherry, April 2 -- The Puducherry Excise department on Thrusdy ordered closure of all liquor shops in eight areas here till 8.00 PM on Friday in view of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's road show in support of the ruling AINRC-led NDA--comprising the BJP, AIADMK and the LJK--candidates for the April 9 Assembly elections.
Deputy Commissioner (Excise) Mathew Francis in a circular said police were directed to ensure maintenance of law and order during the visit of the Prime Minister.
