Imphal, Jan. 8 -- Liklam Ngakpa an organisation of Manipur has called upon the President and the Prime Minister to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur.

Haobijam Jiten, president of the organisation, said he submitted a memorandum on Thursday to the President and the PM pleading their intervention in the Manipur crisis to restore permanent peace.

"The prolonged unrest has caused immense suffering to innocent citizens, including loss of lives, displacement of families, and destruction of homes and livelihoods," he said.

In the memorandum, the organisation asked for strong, compassionate, and sustained action to restore peace, protect civilians, and rebuild trust among communities. It felt that the intervention is badly desired by people ...
