Hyderabad, Feb. 8 -- Left parties in Telangana have called upon workers and the general public to participate in large numbers in the nationwide general strike scheduled for February 12, extending full support to the protest announced by central trade unions.

In a statement released here on Sunday, the Left parties said the strike was being organised to demand the repeal of the four labour codes introduced by the BJP-led Central government, alleging that they were anti-labour and pro-corporate.
