Beirut/Tehran, Dec. 10 -- Lebanon's Foreign Minister Youssef Raji confirmed that he rejected Iran's latest invitation to Tehran for holding bilateral talks, amid Beirut's hostility towards Iran over its continued funding and sponsorship of Hezbollah, even as Lebanese authorities have intensified their crackdown on the Iran-backed militia, in a bid to confiscate the militant group's weapons arsenal by 2026.
Raji, taking to X stressed that declining the visit "does not mean rejecting discussion," and invited Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to meet instead in "a neutral third country to be agreed upon".
