Keylong, Dec. 18 -- Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh continues to witness uncertain winter conditions with scant snowfall, while life-threatening risks persist due to extremely slippery roads caused by freezing temperatures and frost formation.
Despite cloudy to partly cloudy weather, the high reaches of the tribal district have received only light and sporadic snowfall so far this season, raising concerns among locals, farmers and administration alike.
According to the daily status report issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), most major roads in the district remain closed as a precautionary measure.
