Agartala, Aug. 4 -- Leader of the Opposition in Tripura, and CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury today launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP government, alleging a complete collapse of law and order in the state over the past seven years.

Chaudhury said, "There is no minimum safety and security of the citizens, and the situation has completely deteriorated in the last seven years of BJP rule. Mafia activities, cash collection, and religious fanaticism became the ruling force of the party, which the administration has completely failed to prevent."
