New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- Delhi Police on Sunday arrested five members of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang in connection with the recent murder of a 35-year-old businessman in the Bawana industrial area of outer north Delhi, an official said.
According to the police, acting on credible intelligence, they intercepted some suspects earlier in the day. "When asked to surrender, they allegedly opened fire at the team, which prompted a retaliatory response in self-defence and a brief encounter," a senior officer added.
Amid the exchange of fire, one of the accused sustained a leg injury from a bullet and was later subdued by the police.
