Mumbai, Feb. 3 -- A civil suit seeking stay on the exhibition and release of movie 'O' Romeo' was filed at the city civil court by Sanober Shaikh, daughter of the Pydhoni-based late gangster Hussain Shaikh alias Hussain Ustara, alleging that film is an unauthorised biopic based on her father's life.
The film which is set to be released on Feb 13 is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, director Vishal Bhardwaj, and author Hussain Zaidi.
In her suit Sanober claims the movie portrays her father as a gangster and presents a false depiction of his life. She argues that such a portrayal will have serious negative implications for her family members, causing irreparable harm to her and her children, who deserve to live in peace and a positive environme...
