The incident has triggered fear in the village, prompting the deployment of additional police forces.
The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Nishad, who was reportedly preparing to contest the upcoming panchayat elections. According to police, Pankaj and his younger brother Ramnath were attacked by their cousins following an argument over ancestral land.
