New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- Former union Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has moved the Delhi High Court to challenge the framing of corruption charges against him and his family members in the long-standing IRCTC hotel maintenance contract case.
The petition seeks to set aside the order of a special CBI court that found prima facie evidence to proceed with a trial against the veteran politician.
Yadav's legal team contends that the prosecution lacks the necessary sanctions and that the allegations do not fulfill the legal requirements under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
