Kochi, Sept. 20 -- union Fisheries Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh today announced that an Investors and Exporters Meet will be held in Lakshadweep in November 2025 to promote investment and exports in tuna, seaweed and ornamental fisheries.
Speaking at a high-level consultation meeting here, the Minister said Lakshadweep's strategic location and sustainable tuna fishing practices offer vast opportunities for boosting production, exports and employment.
"If fish catch increases, Lakshadweep's economy develops, and in turn, the country's economy grows. This will help realise the Prime Minister's dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047," he said.
