Guwahati, Feb. 11 -- The Special Revision of the voters' list in Assam included an electorate of 2,49,58,139 in the final electoral rolls, with names of lakhs of doubtful voters removed following complaints lodged by the BJP worker, state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.

Assam Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Anurag Goel, said during the day that a total of 2,43,485 voters' names were dropped from the draft list, which had recorded 2,52,01,624 voters.

As per the published final electoral rolls, Assam has a total of the 2,49,58,139 eligible voters, including 1,24,82,213 male, 1,24,75,583 female and 343 voters in the third gender category.
