Prayagraj, Feb. 26 -- A sea of devotees converged on the banks of Sangam to take a holy dip on the auspicious occasion of the last bathing festival of Maha Shivratri, which also marks the culmination of the 45-day-long Maha Kumbh, one of the largest spiritual and cultural congregations in the world, on Wednesday.

The banks of Triveni Sangam, the confluence of holy Ganga, Yamuna, and mystique Saraswati rivers, reverberated with the chants of 'Har Har Mahadev,' 'Ganga Maiyya ki Jai,' and 'Jai Shri Ram' as tight security arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless bath on Maha Shivratri.
