Srinagar, March 5 -- Nearly eight months after assuming office, Kavinder Gupta, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, on Thursday tendered his resignation, sources said.
There has been no official confirmation regarding his resignation so far.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir had taken oath as the third Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on July 18, 2025. He had replaced B.D. Mishra.
Sources said Gupta submitted his resignation this evening, though the reasons behind the move were not immediately known.
