Hyderabad, Oct. 24 -- Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident in Kurnool district that claimed several lives.
In a video statement, he described the incident as "very unfortunate and painful" and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased.
The Minister said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has been briefed about the details of the accident and directed the Transport Department to take all necessary steps from Telangana's side. Prabhakar said he had also spoken to the Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister, the Kurnool District Collector, and the SP over the phone to coordinate rescue and relief efforts.
