Bengaluru, Jan. 15 -- union Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday made it clear that he would not distance himself from state politics, asserting that his future political role in Karnataka would be decided by the people of the state.

Speaking to media persons here, Kumaraswamy said he continued to be an active politician and dismissed speculation that he was moving away from state politics. "I am in politics and it is the people of the state who will decide where I should be. Based on their wishes, I will decide when to return to active state politics," he said.

Referring to the National Democratic Alliance, Kumaraswamy said his party was an integral part of the NDA and there should be no confusion within the alliance. "Ou...
