Thane, Jan. 13 -- The Thane unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested a Class One officer of the Konkan division supply department for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 5 lakh through his private aides in Navi Mumbai, an official confirmeed on Tuesday.

The accused, identified as Anil Sudhakar Taksale, was taken into custody on January 12, in the CBD Belapur area.

According to the official, Taksale, who was posted as supply deputy commissioner at the Konkan divisional office in CBD Belapur, Thane district, was arrested at around 5.10 pm after his two private assistants were caught accepting the bribe amount on his behalf near Laxmi Hotel.
