Kochi, Jan. 30 -- CJ Roy, prominent Kochi-based businessman and Chairman of the Confident Group, was found dead in Bengaluru today while Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials were conducting searches at his premises in connection with a financial investigation.

Preliminary findings indicate that he died of a gunshot injury and that it is suspected to be a case of suicide, though authorities said a detailed probe is underway to establish the exact circumstances, sources said.
