Mumbai, July 19 -- A Mumbai resident, employed by a private firm, was offered Rs one crore online for the sale of his kidney. However, he fell victim to scammers and lost Rs 2.95 lakh in supposed procedural charges. According to the details, Prashant Nagvekar, a 45-year-old Mumbai resident, was in a desperate bid to sell a kidney for financial help; with his debts mounting, he found it difficult to make ends meet and went online for information, finding details of one Sahyadri Hospital in New Delhi that "bought kidneys."
